Ryan Gurcharn aka Mr. Malton himself is currently running for English Public School Trustee for Ward 5, Mississauga. With over 30+ years having lived and worked in Malton and after the endorsement of current Trustee Rick Williams, Ryan is ready to advocate for improved education for the youth, students, and parents of Ward 5.
When the Mississauga News published an article referring to Malton as "Mississauga's Wasteland" Ryan was inspired to start his own newspaper called "The Malton Mirror" and would later start Dixie Discovery. Currently working for Andrea Horvath in the Leaders office for the official opposition in Ontario, Ryan has also worked in multiple community development roles such as the youth and communications coordinator for Malton Neighbourhood services, and as a community developer for the city of Mississauga where he was awarded a 2017 civic award
Ryan is no stranger to the education system in Ward 5 as he attended school in Malton his whole life and was even the valedictorian for his graduating class at Lincoln M. Alexander secondary school. Ryan has remained committed to student success as he currently sits on six Ward 5 school councils to date. Apart from school council's Ryan also sits on 13 boards and committees across peel.
